The timeline. Never give up. It's only too late if your dead.
Elementary School - I write a disturbing book where all the characters die. It wins an award for some reason and I worry for the sanity of the adults.
High School - An English teacher lets me write poetry every day in class, because I ace the tests without doing the homework, but the next highest grade in the class is a C. Although writing a poem a day sounds easy, I learned the horror of deadlines and writers block.
2008 - I married my favorite person in the world. She went off to school and I followed. I then acquired a job at an IT Helpdesk to help pay the bills and her tuition.
2009-2010 - I was transferred to the graveyard shift for a while during this time. It was severely boring. In an attempt to stay awake whilst waiting for phone calls , I wondered how hard it would be to write a book. I wrote three. I didn't have the luxury of polishing them however as our lives changed start to change drastically.
2011 - I was promoted to Network Systems Admin. So much for free time, but hey, the pay was better.
2012 - We moved across the country for my wife's continued schooling, our first child was born, and I prepared to return to college. On the bright side, it wasn't the end of the world.
2015 - Another move and my wife starts working post-schooling.
2016 - Another bundle of mayhem starts running around.
2017 - I graduate from BYU-I as Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science. School is officially over!
2018 - Player 3 enters the world.
2019 - Amidst the chaos of life, I make an attempt to flesh out the books, but struggle to find both desire and willpower to continue.
2021-2022 - The smallest child is in preschool. That gives me meager hours of quiet, but it is enough. I push ahead one step at a time. The first book is published.
